Murdered Djokic family to be laid to rest today, flags in Aleksinac at half mast

The Djokic family from Aleksinac - Goran, his wife Gordana and daughter Lidija - who were found dead on Saturday, will be buried today at 1 pm at the cemetery in Zitkovac. Today is a day of mourning in Aleksinac, so the flags will be lowered to half-mast.

The family disappeared six days before their bodies were found. They went missing after leaving the village of Moravac and heading for Aleksinac.

Their family and police searched for them for days. First, their burned down car was found in the village of Tesica, and a few hours later, the bodies were discovered near an illegal landfill in Moravac.

The bodies were taken over by family yesterday.

Although it is not yet known exactly where the family was killed, there is reason to suspect that this happened inside the vehicle.

As we have learned, several bullets had been fired.
