The third night of the blockade on main routes near the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings went peacefully and without incidents between the gathered Serbs and the special units of the Kosovo police, reports Kosovo Online.

Several hundred Serbs are still at both crossings in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, and despite the cold weather and occasional rain, they are determined not to move away from the roads, protesting the deployment of fully armed special police there and Pristina's decision to introduce reciprocity regarding license plates.

The fourth day of the protest of the gathered Serbs is starting, there are several hundred of them at Jarinje, and they are expecting the withdrawal of the police armed with rifles.

The gathered citizens of the northern Kosovo municipalities welcome the position of the state of Serbia and President Vucic regarding the resolution of this crisis and stress that it is very important to them that the president supports them in their efforts to fight for their rights.

There was a minor incident yesterday at the Brnjak crossing when members of the police wanted to pull a Serb out of his car for not removing his license plates, but fortunately everything ended peacefully after the intervention of KFOR members who were there.

RTS is reporting that citizens are gathered around fires or in improvised tents, until the problem is solved.

There were dozens of them last night, together with political representatives from the north of Kosovo and Metohija.

The blockade is about three kilometers long, last night citizens drove in more trucks and set them up to block traffic.

Local portals write that a diplomat from an EU member country that does not recognize self-declared independence of Kosovo reported an attempted attack last night, because a person tried to remove diplomatic license plates issued by Belgrade from their car.

At the moment, there are no passenger vehicles at Jarinje, six trucks are waiting to cross, and it is still only possible to enter the north of the province on foot. Transport by vehicles is possible only at the Merdare crossing.
