"Chancellor Merkel will first visit Serbia. She will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade. The talks will focus on bilateral relations, economic and political relations and issues regarding European perspective," stated Fitz.
After the meeting, the president of Serbia and the German chancellor will address journalists.
As announced in Berlin, Merkel will also meet with representatives of civil society from all Western Balkan countries while in Belgrade.
A day later, on Tuesday, September 14, Chancellor Merkel will be in Tirana, where she will first have a bilateral meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, with whom she will also discuss bilateral and economic issues, as well as the country's path toward the EU.
After that, the chancellor will have lunch with the prime ministers of all Western Balkan countries, during which the main topic will be regional cooperation, followed by a press conference.
Before returning to Berlin, Merkel will have bilateral meetings with the prime ministers of BiH, Montenegro, North Macedonia and the provisional authorities of Pristina.
