Aggressive driving in Belgrade: Car crashes into a plateau, turns over and destroys cafe garden
An unusual accident happened about two hours after midnight in Karadjordjeva Street, when a speeding overturned and crashed into a nearby cafe.
All this was recorded by security cameras, which show that a pedestrian almost got killed. The participants in the incident disappeared from the scene, and they are being searched for.
The damage to the cafe, after the incident, was great, as a source who wished to remain anonymous told Telegraf.
"It happened around two o'clock last night. They were 'flying' from the opposite lane, I guess they were coming from Kalemegdan. I saw that the speed was abnormal, that they cut those pillars, turned over, hit the garden and smashed the bars and tables. The material damage is not known yet, experts should go out tomorrow and check everything."
According to our source, the driver and those who were with him managed to leave the street before they got reported.
"They fled the scene of the incident. By the way, two bars, tables, chairs were destroyed. They literally routed out the sidewalks," the source said.
The videos made the day after the incident really show that the site, which had just been reconstructed, was completely destroyed, and that the sidewalks and protective pillars were torn down. Also, parts of the cafe's inventory were scattered all around, and black tire tracks were visible.
