New Covid cases spike in Serbia: More than 2,200 in one day, eight more patients die

Coronavirus was confirmed in 2,216 people in the last 24 hours while at the same time eight patients died as a result of Covid.

Recommended

15,656 people got tested.

44 patients are currently on ventilators.

Most new cases have been reported in Belgrade - 489, followed by Kragujevac, 118, Nis, 101, Novi Sad, 77, Valjevo, 65, Kraljevo, 56, Uzice and Cacak 49 each, Krusevac, 34 and Novi Pazar, 31.

Other towns had fewer than 30 new cases.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Serbia, 4,931,082 people have been tested, a total of 746,366 have been infected and 7,226 have died.
