Vucic: Vaccine did not harm anyone, as you can see, I'm alive, I'll get booster dose
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today during his visit to southern Serbia that he does not know what measures will be introduced because the number of people contracting coronavirus is growing, but he pointed out that the vaccine did not harm anyone, and said he will receive the third dose as soon as six months have passed since the second, which will in his case happen in October.
"I am not an epidemiologist, nor do I deal with that," the president said when asked what measures we can expect:
"I'm not sure what people are ready for, we'll see. Our plea is to get vaccinated, that's a plea we as a state can make. The vaccine won't kill them. I am waiting for six months to pass from my vaccination to receive the third dose. It's sometime in October. As you can see, I'm still alive. The vaccine did not harm anyone, but them behaving irresponsibly has."
Due to the growing number of new cases, a meeting of the Crisis HQ set up to deal with the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia is expected to be scheduled at any moment.
