Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is today visiting the fruit and vegetable processing factory Voni-M in the south of Serbia. Almost all kinds of fruit are dried there.

"Apricots are number one, followed by plums, cherries, and blueberries," say the locals in the town of Brus.

"Increase capacities, hire people, you will receive subsidies for new workers," said the president, while the factory's representatives say that Brus is generally facing a shortage of workers, but that people want to work in the factory.

Vucic praised dried apricots, saying they "taste like dates." Brus also boasts raspberries and other fruits, but also produces dried mangoes - which are imported raw.

The president said that dried plums, apricots and strawberries that he had just tasted were fantastic, and the factory said that these were also their most sought-after products.
