Horror in Belgrade: Man kidnaps ex-girlfriend, takes her to Resnik, rapes and beats her for 3 days

N.M. (40) from Belgrade has been arrested on suspicion that he on August 13 kidnapped his former girlfriend I.B. in Zvezdara, to then take her to a house in Resnik and brutally rape and beat her for three days.

The police sent the unfortunate woman to undergo medical examinations, while N M. has been detained for up to 48 hours, and should be questioned today at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade. He is accused of committing the crime of rape, for which he faces up to ten years in prison.

According to a source from the investigation, I.B. came to the police on August 16 and described in detail what kind of torture she had experienced in the previous three days.

"She told inspectors that she on August 13 agreed to meet with her ex-boyfriend N.M., who supposedly just wanted to talk. That day, he picked her up in his car on the corner of Ustanicka Street and Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard. They spoke normally for a short time and N.M., according to I.B., tried to persuade her to get back together. However, since she did not want that, he started shouting at her and then her ordeal started," the source from the investigation said, and added:

"N.M. then drove his ex-girlfriend to Resnik, to his house and there, as I.B. claims, he tied her up and held her captive. He allegedly took her mobile phone to prevent her from calling for help. According to I.B., her ex-boyfriend brutally beat her several times, humiliated her and raped her at least ten times."

After three days of horrible torture, N.M. put I.B. in the car and drove her to in front of a building in Dusana Radovica Street in Zvezdara.

"I.B. said that in front of the building, N.M. brutally kicked her and hit her with a baseball bat. After he finished torturing her, he got in his car and left, leaving the injured girl lying in the street."

When she gathered her strength I.B. went to the police and reported her ex-boyfriend.

"When she gave the statement, she was first taken over by an ambulance crew because of her injuries, and was then sent for a gynecological examination. Meanwhile, the police found and arrested the suspect. The results of medical examinations are now awaited, which will be immediately forwarded to the prosecutor," the source from the investigation explained.
