Nermin speaks from hell of Kabul: We're trying to find a flight, colleagues from Serbia are with me

Nermin Mujcinovic is one of 11 Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) citizens currently in Kabul awaiting evacuation to BiH or any other country, to escape the chaotic situation in Afghanistan following the Taliban taking over.

At the time he spoke to an Avaz journalist, Mujcinovic was on the runway of the airport in Kabul, and as he said, along with his his colleagues from BiH and Serbia he was trying to find a flight to leave Afghanistan.

"The situation is not good. We are currently trying to find a flight. Together with me is a colleague from BiH, two from Serbia and two from Croatia. It's a team that is trying to find a flight to leave Kabul," said Mujcinovic.

When asked if the situation at the airport is better today compared to yesterday, he replied:

"It's not. It's the same as yesterday. Thousands of people are looking for transportation. That's what I can say. We have to stop now. The soldiers are watching as I speak," Mujcinovic told Avaz.

Charge d'affaires at the Serbian Embassy in India Sinisa Pavic told Tanjug this morning that progress had been made in the effort to evacuate Serbian citizens from Afghanistan.

"For now, I can say that there is movement in the right direction," said Pavic.

Pavic told Tanjug earlier that three Serbian citizens who have asked to be evacuated are well and that they are constantly in touch with the Serbian embassy in New Delhi.
