Almost 500 new Covid cases in Serbia in one day, as two more people die: 7 are now on ventilators

Coronavirus was confirmed in 487 people in the last 24 hours, and at the same time, two patients died as a result of Covid.

10,710 people got tested during this time.

Seven patients are currently on ventilators. The total number of patients hospitalized with Covid is 521.

A total of 7,129 people have died so far, the mortality rate being 0.99%.

New cases by city

In the last 24 hours, 148 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Belgrade. Novi Sad had 28, Nis 17, Krusevac 16, Smederevo 13, Jagodina 12, and Valjevo and Zrenjanin 10 new cases each.

The single-digit number of new cases was recorded in Priboj, Cacak, Petrovac na Mlavi, Uzice, with seven new cases, while there were six in Backa Palanka and Prokuplje.

Other towns had fewer than six coronavirus-positive cases.
