Our regulatory authorities have received a notification from the EU that the ice creams in question are present on the Serbian market and are not safe to use. It has been established that they contain pesticides.

These are ice creams imported from the EU - the M&M, Snickers and Twix brands.

"Last night we received a notification from the European Union Rapid Alert System (RASFF) that ice creams imported from the EU contain the stabilizer 'Lygomme FM 4600/Box25/STD/E800' - ethyl oxide, above the allowed limit, which was detected in Spain," it has been announced.

"The ice creams belong to the M&M, Snickers and Twix brands and have been imported from France to several EU countries. Importers for Serbia are Frikom and Mars Balkan East," said our regulatory body.

The number of the lot of the additive is 0013925497.

The Veterinary Administration immediately took all necessary legal measures, such as withdrawing the disputed products from the Serbian market and banning imports until an investigation has been conducted, it has been confirmed for our portal.

In just a few days, several types of products were recalled in neighboring Croatia as well due to the said pesticide, and this in a way represents the epilogue to that story.
