Details of Krk horror: Woman dies from alcohol, body in the house for 2 days, husband didn't help
An autopsy and a toxicology report determined that a 47-year-old Russian citizen from Germany died in the town of Krk, Croatia due to acute alcohol poisoning, while a German man has been charged for failing to provide assistance, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Police announced on Thursday.
It has been established that she had 3.6 permilles of alcohol in her blood and that she died two days before the police, acting on a report, found her body.
On the evening of July 27, the police were informed about a woman's body being found in an apartment in the town of Krk.
The police also found a 46-year-old German citizen in the apartment. He was arrested and detained while under the influence - he had 2.9 permilles of blood alcohol content. A criminal investigation established that he did not help the woman, so criminal charges have been filed against him before the appropriate state prosecutor's office.
The criminal investigation is continuing in order to reveal all the circumstances of this unfortunate event, the police said.
In the first statement about the case, the police said that it was a murder.
