Traffic jams at these 3 border crossings, hot weather is a problem: Here's when to start a trip

The public company Putevi Srbije ("Roads of Serbia") has announced that there have been longer delays for passenger and cargo vehicles this morning at 7:45 am at the border crossings Gradina with Bulgaria and Horgos and Kelebija with Hungary, while other border crossings did not report such delays.

The company said that at Gradina, the delay at the exit for passenger vehicles is about 30 minutes, at the Horgos border crossing the delay at the exit for trucks is 90 minutes, and at Kelebija the delay at the exit for cargo vehicles is 120 minutes, while trucks wait 240 minutes.

There are no delays at toll stations on highways in Serbia.

When it comes to roadworks, they are carried out on the bypass around Belgrade in the direction of Bubanj Potok, in front of the Zeleznik tunnel, in order to replace a protective fence. For that reason the passing lane is closed for traffic.

On the E-763 highway between Preljina and Ljig, in the direction Preljina, regular maintenance works are being done in the right pipe of the Brdjni tunnel.
