Four men from Nis arrested: 18-year-old American accuses them of raping her at a birthday party

Four residents of the city of Nis have been arrested on suspicion of raping an 18-year-old girl who is a US-Serbian citizen. The incident allegedly happened last night.

As we have learned, those arrested are M.C. (21), S.C. (22), V.J. (24) and M.C. (21).

The alleged rape took place at a birthday party in the village of Vlase, which was attended by two other girls and four men.

"The prosecuting authorities were called by the mother at around 1:45 am who said her daughter complained that she had unwanted sexual intercourse during the party, so the young men who were there and whom she identified as perpetrators were detained and will be held for up to 48 hours," said our sources.

As we have learned, the young men who are the suspects have denied that they raped her.

For now, apart from the girl's statement, there is no other evidence that the rape took place, so information and evidence is being collected to clarify what really happened at the birthday party.

"Ffour suspects have been detained on suspicion that they raped a woman. They have been detained on the order of the Higher Public Prosecution in Nis, and will be questioned, within the legal deadline, by the prosecutor's office regarding all the circumstances of the reported event," said Borislav Radonjic, a spokesman for the prosecution.

According to unofficial information, all participants in the event consumed a larger amount of alcohol during the party.
