Dog sniffs out trafficker: Audi stopped at Jarinje, driver was hiding almost 7 kilograms of cocaine
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belgrade, in cooperation with police officers from the Raska Police Department, seized 6.7 kilograms of pure cocaine and arrested M. A. (39) on suspicion that he committed the crime of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics.
The police stopped an Audi driven by the suspect at the Jarinje administrative crossing, and during the search of the vehicle, the police officers working with a police dog found six packages of narcotics hidden in a custom-made space in the car.
It is suspected that M.A. took the drugs over in Albania and that the cocaine was intended for further sale in the territory of Belgrade.
The suspect has been detained for up to 48 hours and he will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Kraljevo, along with a criminal complaint.
