Import of this Bosnia milk brand to Serbia banned: "It's not harmful, but it's of poor quality"

"As of this morning, the import of milk from the dairy MI 99 from Gradacac, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Serbia is prohibited due to inadequate quality," announced Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic.

"Based on laboratory analyses, we determined that the quality of milk is not appropriate and banned the import. They are a serious exporter of milk to Serbia and the product is most often found in large retail chains," the minister told TV Prva.

He also said that the import ban does not only apply to milk, but also to other dairy products made by this producer, while the quantities that are already in our country will be placed under a sales ban.

"Our laboratory has determined that, especially in terms of milk fat, what is in the milk does not correspond to what is written on the declaration and it does not contain 2.8 percent of milk fat, but much less," Nedimovic specified. He also said that the milk from that producer does not contain anything that would be harmful to health, so those who consumed it should not worry.
