The president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, has assessed that the Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is very similar to individual agreements that Serbia already has with the countries of that association, and that it does not stand in the way Serbia's accession to the EU.

Presenting the results of the first phase of the "My First Salary" program, he assessed that the agreement could have positive effects on greater access of the Serbian economy to the Eurasian Union market.

Cadez said that there are numerous contacts with the Russian Federation, as the largest market of the Eurasian Union, and that new agreements were recently signed by the factories Tigar and Yumco.

He stressed that a quarter of the fresh white cheese market in the whole of Russia is covered by the Sabac dairy and that there are a lot of good reasons for increased participation of Serbian companies in the Eurasian Union market.

"This agreement will not be in force when Serbia joins the EU, but it does not hinder Serbia's accession to the EU," Cadez said.
