55 people arrested at Exit festival, all because of drugs: 31 foreigners are among them
During the first day of the Exit music festival, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Novi Sad seized narcotics from 55 people. On suspicion that they committed the crime of unauthorized possession of narcotics, the police also arrested 54 people, of whom 31 are foreign nationals.
The police arrested another person on suspicion that he committed the crime of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics.
Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin reiterated that members of the police will arrest and punish drug dealers, as well as drug users attending Exit, in accordance with the law.
"As we promised, members of the police will punish anyone they find during the Exit Festival, regardless of whether they are a drug dealer or a drug user, in accordance with the law. We will do everything to make visitors and participants of the festival safe and secure, but, above all, all Novi Sad residents. Enjoy the music, do not take drugs," Minister Vulin said after the first day of the Exit festival.
