Kurti thanks Clark for "decisive NATO intervention," the aggression whose victims are still counted
Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Pristina Albin Kurti received on Wednesday the former Supreme Commander of the NATO Allied Forces in Europe, US General Wesley Clark, whom he thanked for his leadership in the "decisive NATO intervention in the spring of 1999."
Kurti also thanked Clark for, as he said, "the irreplaceable role and contribution of the United States of America" and reiterated Pristina's determination to become a member of NATO, reports Kosova Press.
Kurti met with Clark accompanied by Minister of Defense of the Provisional Institutions of Pristina Armend Mehaja, and Minister of Economy Artan Rizvanoli.
Clark expressed readiness to support the goals of the government of the temporary Pristina institutions for economic development and social prosperity.
"The state of Kosovo is the best friend of the United States in Europe," Clark said, recalling the time when President Bill Clinton, after his last visit to Kosovo, told him that Kosovo was the best thing he had done during his eight-year presidency - Kosovo Online reported.
