Crypto Lift app forced to shut down in Belgrade: "They took our car, there were movie-like scenes"

The Crypto Lift app has informed its customers that it has had to stop working. A vehicle was confiscated from that company, and as they told our portal, an appeal has been filed and they expect the situation to be resolved in the next few months.

The company said that the decision represented a case of "selective application of the law", and that the event itself was reminiscent of scenes from a Hollywood movie.

"That every good idea has a thorny path from anonymity to success is no exception when it comes to Crypto Lift. As they (authorities) stated, the vehicle was removed because we carried out public passenger transportation - without any hint, a black Skoda blocked our members' path, from which they jumped out and pulled our members out of the vehicle," Srboljub Dragisic, one of the founders of Crypto Lift, told Telegraf Biznis.

As he stressed, Crypto Lift is an association of citizens that does not perform transportation, either passenger or public, and he added that they are not the only ones who operate according to the same system.

"The public is more than aware of developments around innovative applications such as the Crypto Lift app, as evidenced by the fact that there are more and more supporters of our citizens' association each day. We must point out that it is an 'association of citizens' because obviously, some do not know that, so they confuse the definition of an association and public transport," Dragisic told us.

He recalled that the association was founded last year and gathers not only fans of blockchain technology, but also those who have absolutely no knowledge about it and would like to learn more.

"Everyone who installs our mobile app and accepts the terms of use automatically receives a membership card and becomes a member of the association of the same name. It is clear that we stand out because we provide our members with new opportunities. Such as options to share the service with another member and reduce costs by up to 40%, the ability to pay with cryptocurrencies, we have announced integration of a crypto exchange in the application and our crypto money and the ability to pay through our app at all points of sale. As well as the fact that we are an absolutely pet friendly association," Dragisic tells us.

He also said that the number of supporters of the association is growing every day as they are currently receiving dozens of messages and calls from people who are disappointed with the temporary suspension of services.

"An appeal has been filed against the unconstitutional confiscation of the vehicle, we expect the situation to be resolved in the next few months and a verdict in our favor that we don't doubt will come. We assure you that the interruption is temporary and that during this break we are working tirelessly to fulfill the promise we made," Dragisic told us.
