The news that Serbian tourists eagerly awaited is now official.

Starting on June 21 at 6 am local time, it will be possible to enter Greece with a negative antigen test.

The website of the Civil Protection of Greece reported that during a new conference yesterday, Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias said:

"The improvement of epidemiological data, combined with the ongoing vaccination program, allows us to continue to lift restrictive measures in order to restart other activities."

He also added that a committee that met yesterday reached a unanimous decision:

"Regarding general rules for entry into the country, to allow entry with a negative rapid (antigen) test from the countries on the green list. Minors, up to 12 years of age, can enter the country without a test, if they come from the ountries that are in the green category."

As the Serbian Government's website said on June 16, member states of the European Union (EU) have decided to return Serbia to the list of epidemiologically safe countries, whose citizens will be able to travel to the EU. The expanded list should officially start to be implemented today, said the website.

In addition to the new document, which allows entry into Greece, other documents remain valid as before.

Vaccinated persons can submit confirmation that they received two doses of a Covid vaccine, issued by official state institutions, provided that the second dose was received at least 14 days before departure. The second option is a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours and the third, confirmation that a person had coronavirus and recovered between 2 and 9 months from the date of travel. Now, the possibility of crossing the border with a negative antigen test, which is three times cheaper than the PCR test, has been added.

Considering that an agreement was signed between Greece and Serbia earlier, all vaccines that are available in our country are recognized for entering Greece - Pfizer-Biontech, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, and Sputnik V.
