Both parents of four children, one of whom has leukemia, die in tragic crash near Loznica

Ljiljana M. (32), who was seriously injured this morning in a collision between a van and a truck near Loznica, died on the way to a hospital in Belgrade, Objektiv.rs has learned.

The horrific crash between the van and the truck happened on Thursday morning at around 6:30 on the Zavlaka-Tekeris road near Loznica, in western Serbia.

Ljiljana's husband - the van's driver Goran M. (49) from Josevo, Radojka J., Sofija B. and Radislav T. from Jadanska Lednica - also perished in the traffic accident, while two other people got injured.

The deceased couple, Goran and Ljiljana, have four children together, a daughter and three sons. The girl is ill with leukemia.

In addition, Goran has another child from his previous marriage, an adult daughter who is married and has a child of her own.

According to media reports, Goran was driving the van that he bought so that the group could get work - they were picking strawberries on other people's farms. They all worked for a seasonal daily wage of between 2,600-2,700 dinars (about 22 euros).
