Loncar: Working group to be formed to analyze deaths that occurred during coronavirus epidemic

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar met today with state secretaries and heads of healthare institutions.

After the meeting, the minister told RTS that the time has come to form a working group within the Ministry of Health to analyze deaths that occurred during the Covid 19 epidemic, for the sake of future generations.

It has been decided to establish a Working Group of the Ministry of Health to analyze deaths during the coronavirus epidemic.

"We said that when conditions have been created, we will form a team that will deal with the analysis of deaths from Covid 19. The only way to know for sure whether someone died from the virus is an autopsy, but that was not allowed at the recommendation of the WHO," said Loncar.

According to him, we are doing this because of future pandemics so that new generations can learn something from it.

"That analysis will also include people who died but were not hospitalized. We will analyze death certificates, so that will show if someone from the family of the deceased was in contact with Covid," stressed Loncar.
