Village where Rade started his massacre no longer remembers it: House where 2 people got killed sold
Six years ago, Rade Sefer (55) from Senta, northern Serbia, started his bloody feast in the village of Orom, where he killed his former father-in-law Jene Tracik (74) and mother-in-law Gizel (68). Nobody mentions the crime that shook Serbia in this place, and the house where these two lives were brutally extinguished has been sold, Telegraf.rs has learned.
"Everything is fine in the village of Orom. People don't remember that crime, they don't talk about it. The house, where Rade killed his ex-father and mother-in-law, was bought by someone. People don't mention it at all anymore,"a resident of the village of Orom told Telegraf.rs.
After committing this double murder, Rade Sefer drove 30 kilometers further to the village of Martinos. He killed four more people there. He killed his ex-wife Roza, her daughter-in-law Natalija and Natalija's parents Karolina and Sandor Bajtai.
He shot and severely wounded Natalija's aunt Natalie, in front of her child. To protect his child and wife, Natalie's husband Emmanul Damjon, a French citizen, killed Rade in self-defense.
Schaefer committed the horrific crime the day after his son's wedding, on May 17, 2015. He killed members of the two families using a hunting rifle.
He allegedly did that because he did not want his son Vlastimir to go through the same he was going through in his life and marriage. He spoke all the worst about his daughter-in-law, and he accused his ex-wife, from whom he divorced a year earlier, of choosing a wife for Vlastimir.
Although he did not agree with the choice of his older son, on May 16, he was at the wedding, where he got drunk and attacked his ex-wife and younger son Aleksandar.
Aleksandar called the police at the time, who detained Sefer, but the prosecutor released him, noting that the report about the violence and threats would be handled the "the regular way."
Testimony of a young man whose entire family was wiped out by psychopath Rade Sefer
"I don't know what happened. I slept in the guest house. I was awakened by gunshots and screams. Dreamy, I went out into the yard and found the bloody bodies of my mother, father, sister... - with these words Zolt Bajtai (27) described the horror that happened in his house in Martonos, near Kanjiza, when Sefer, the father of Zolt's son-in-law Vlastimir, killed all members of his family, the day after his sister's wedding.
Zolt did not want to talk about the horrible crime and often repeated one sentence.
"I don't know who, but if at least one of the three of them survived, it would be easier for me," his uncle stated for the Belgrade media.
On March 17, 2015, just before 10 am, Rade Sefer broke into the Bajtai family's house and first killed Zolt's father Sandor (52), then sister Natalija (25), mother Karolina (43), his wife Rozalija (47) and seriously wounded a cousin of the Bajtai family from France, Natalia Damjon.
