Dr. Djerlek also speaks about weddings: We can hope to start organizing celebrations from July
State Secretary in the Ministry of Health of Serbia Mirsad Djerlek said today that protective masks will have to be worn for at least another three to six months, primarily because some people cannot receive the vaccine for health reasons.
He told TV Pink that, even if collective immunity is achieved, we must be careful.
Djerlek stressed that if we achieve the goal of having three million revaccinated people by the end of June, starting in July we can hope to see a normalization of life, including organizing weddings.
"It is very important that we are disciplined now and not to go for relaxing the measures too fast, because some countries that had a lot of revaccinated people and quickly relaxed measures had problems, since they still have pockets of infection," said Djerlek.
He added that we must not allow that mistake to happen here and that all methods of vaccination must be used, including administering vaccines in buses, and visiting every place, every village.
Djerlek assessed that the immunization is going well and that vaccination is the best way to avoid paying for expensive PCR tests during the summer in order t enter some countries when going on vacation.
According to him, that also applies to young people, to whom he recommended to get vaccinated so that they could go on vacation.
