Vesic: From next week, vaccinations in shopping malls

Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic held a meeting today with representatives of shopping centers and said that it was agreed that mobile vaccination points would be formed in those facilities starting from next week.

He said that it is important that these centers have reopened again because they employ a large number of people, as well as that there is a high turnover rate that VAT is paid for, meaning that the state has more revenues.

"We spoke with representatives of the shopping centers and the City Institute of Public Health about organizing a special vaccination campaign in the shopping centers. During the conversation, it was determined that most employees have been vaccinated and we are very satisfied with that. The agreement is to create mobile points in shopping malls from next week. These checkpoints will be stationed for several days, and visitors and fellow citizens who live near them will be able to get vaccinated. Hygiene is at a high level, all epidemiological measures are respected and fresh air is pumped in through adequate air conditioning systems. The message of the City of Belgrade is that shopping centers are a safe place and that fellow citizens, while respecting epidemiological measures, can visit them freely," Vesic pointed out.

He recalled that the goal of the City is for as many Belgraders as possible to get vaccinated, as well as that people from all parts of the capital are equally important.

The meeting was attended by Secretary for Social Welfare Natasa Stanisavljevic, Secretary for Economy Milinko Velickovic and State Secretary in the Ministry of Health Aleksandar Stefoski.
