Police operation in Banja Koviljaca after murder at bus station: 20 migrants discovered

A large scale police operation is underway in Banja Koviljaca and the surrounding areas aimed at finding illegal migrants.

Since this morning, more than 20 migrants have been found, and it is expected that there will be more, RTS reports.

The plan is to transport them by buses, accompanied by the Gendarmerie, to the migrant reception center in Presevo.

Two days ago, a murder took place at the bus station in Banja Koviljaca when a migrant was stabbed to death.

After an intensive search, the criminal investigations police from Loznica found and arrested Pakistani citizen K.S.A. (30), who is suspected of killing a 23-year-old migrant from Afghanistan.

As Telegraf reported, the migrants first quarreled and got into a fight at the bus station in Banja Koviljaca, and then K.S.A. pulled out a knife.

The seriously wounded young man was transferred to the hospital in Loznica, where he died.

The suspect was placed in police custody and he will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Sabac along with a criminal complaint.
