Wife crawls about as Professor Boricic teaches Faculty of Medicine online class: Hit on social media

Online classes have long since become a reality, and home life "vignettes" often come with them as a package deal. That's because students have their work to do, as do their teachers' family members, while the teachers themselves are caught somewhere in between.

That is how a lady "stole the show" from Faculty of Medicine Professor Ivan Boricic. Just as he was about to explain hemochromatosis, a woman was seen crawling on the floor in the left corner. Of course, the professor had to take a break, because all eyes were on her. He made a grimace, as if to say, "Eh, woman, what are you doing to me," interrupted the lesson and came back with an explanation.

Therefore, before he tackled hemochromatosis, he had to tell the class who the person in red was. She hoped she could move around the house unnoticed and hide from the camera as the students followed the class attentively, but that hope proved to be in vain.

"I had to stop, the wife was crawling trying to leave the room. The red that you see is the wife. Mine... So..."

The professor, however, seems to prefer  face-to-face encouners with his students. That is how he became famous last year, when he decided to, in the middle of a coronavirus crisis, find a way to organize his exams the old fashioned way. What was unusual, however, was the venue.

Namely, this medical professor scheduled a pathology exam for his students last July. And there would be nothing unusual about that if that exam was not held - under a walnut tree.

"The exam is to be held under the walnut tree behind the Institute of Pathology. Wait for me in front of the Institute, the exam is public," read a notice by Professor Boricic received by his students the time.

"Better under the walnut than online," was the comment of Professor Dr. Petar Bult, vice dean for teaching at the University of Belgrade.
