"Kosovo is not a state, but a territory": Said the Russian who stopped UN Security Council meeting
A (video) meeting of the United Nations Security Council was interrupted shortly after it began on Tuesday, after the first deputy of Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyanski, asked the representative of Pristina to change her background and remove the flag of so-called Kosovo displayed there because, as he stressed, so-called Kosovo is not a universally recognized state.
"It's a territory and eight members of the UN Security Council do not recognize Kosovo as a state," stressed Polyanski, who has been the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN since February 2018.
Another scandal followed soon, when the broadcast of the UN Security Council session on Kosovo and Metohija was interrupted as he was addressing it.
Before that, he said that the Russian Federation agrees with the speech of the head of Serbian diplomacy, Nikola Selakovic.
