Vranje man who got 2 different vaccines to sue after all: Like I don't exist. ZC: He's not forgotten
Sladjan Antic from Vranje, southern Serbia, who first received the vaccine made by one manufacturer, and then the second dose from another, will after all file a lawsuit against those responsible. He will decide who to sue in agreement with his lawyer, Antic has told Telegraf.rs. The director of the Vranje Healthcare Center, Dr. Ljiljana Antic, also spoke for Telegraf.rs to say that the man will not suffer any consequences because he received two different vaccines, and reveals to us that now patients themselves are applying to get vaccinated with vaccines from different manufacturers.
Antic says that he is still experiencing dizziness, and has in the meantime also had problems related to diabetes.
"That has stabilized in the meantime, but I still get dizzy. That's why I want to, after all, file a lawsuit. No one has officially addressed me. Now, it's as if I don't exist," Antic tells Telegraf.rs. He has in the meantime undergone several health examinations in Belgrade, which he doesn't wish to discuss before filing the suit.
Antic first received the Pfizer vaccine on January 28, and then on February 18 received the second dose, this one produced by the Chinese manufacturer Sinopharm. After that, he felt poorly, experiencing among other things chest pains, and to this day suffers from dizziness.
As he told our portal earlier, he believes that the nurses made a mistake because they did not pay attention to what was written in his health card, nor in their computer, that is, which vaccine he had received first.
Due to this, supervisory and disciplinary proceedings were launched in the Vranje Healthcare Center. The nurses and doctors who worked at the vaccination checkpoint where Antic was inoculated were removed from the immunization process and sent back to their old jobs, and later, the manager of the Healthcare Center was dismissed.
The director of the Healthcare Center Vranje, Dr. Ljiljana Antic, told Telegraf.rs that they have not forgotten Antic, and that their doors are always open to him, for whatever he needs. As for the lawsuit, she says, he is within his rights to do that, but points out that they have a letter that claims he will not have any consequences because he received vaccines from different manufacturers.
"We sincerely apologize to Mr. Antic once again. We told him he could always contact us for anything he needed. Our doors are always open to him. He is not forgotten, we are just busy, and he can contact us whenever he wants. I told him that he could get a complete check-up in our Healthcare Center, but he said that he had another alternative," Dr. Antic told Telegraf.rs.
Patients asking for vaccines from different manufacturers
She stressed that he will not suffer any consequences because he had been administered two different vaccines, and reveals to us that there are even citizens who show up intentionally asking for this.
"They are asking for both the Sinopharm and the Pfizer vaccine," Dr. Antic told us.
But the case of Sladjan Antic is not isolated. Before he reported the incident, two more people in Serbia had been given two different doses.
Later, more such cases appeared, the last in a series being Snezana Cirovic from Cacak. Her case was the opposite - she first received the Sinopharm vaccine, an then, when she read the paper that was given to her after the second dose, realized that one was manufactured by Pfizer.
