Detention extended for Belivuk and his group

The Special Court in Belgrade extended today for another 30 days the detention of the members of the organized criminal group led by Veljko Belivuk aka Velja Nevolja and Marko Miljkovic, who are charged with murder, drug trafficking and other criminal acts.

Their detention was extended by a pre-trial court's decision for all the legal reasons - they are deemed as flight risks that could hide or destroy evidence, repeat the crimes in a short period of time, as well as disturb the public.

The accused and their attorneys can appeal against this decision within three days.

Belivuk and Miljkovic were arrested on February 4 on suspicion of organizing a criminal group that committed some of the most serious crimes, hiding behind Parizan football club's supporter group called "Principi."

In addition to them, about 20 other members of the group were arrested at that time, while the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime launched an investigation against 22 people.

A week later, A.S. was also arrested. A sniper rifle was found in his possession, and this suspect is associated with this group. He was also remanded in custody because he is charged with association for the purpose of committing criminal acts and illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives.

According to the order to conduct the investigation, everyone from Belivuk's group is charged with criminal association and drug trafficking, several of them with possession of weapons, while Belivuk, Miljkovic and seven others are also charged with committing aggravated murders.

In addition to Belivuk and Miljkovic, those under investigation include Milos Budimir (36), Marko Budimir (32), Vladimir Grek (36), Milovan Tadic (33), Filip Ivanovski (29), Srdjan Lalic (35), Boris Karapandzic (33), Nemanja Djuric (38), Nikola Stefanovic (33), Nemanja Lakicevic (41), Nikola Spasojevic (29), Zeljko Kodzic (41), Nebojsa Jankovic (50), Vlado Georgijev (38), Sladjana Sekulic (39), Vuk Vucinic (29, and Marko Andric.
