Patient's son breaks into the Covid red zone in Vranje to be with his mom: Police had to remove him

A person had sneaked into the red zone of the Vranje Healthcare Center. This was a man whose mother is being treated in that hospital, and since he refused to leave when medical staff requested it, the police had to react.

"The son of a patient who is being treated for Covid 19 in our hospital used the opportunity to sneak into the room where patients with Covid 19 are treated, at a time when the door was open due to the replacement of oxygen bottles. The employees reacted immediately and instructed the citizen to leave the Covid hospital, to which he reacted by vigorously refusing. For that reason, the employees called the intervention unit of the Police Administration in Vranje, which will continue to act ex officio," the Vranje Hospital announced.

As they point out, none of the staff and patients in the Covid Hospital got injured during the incident.

"The management of the Healthcare Center Vranje strongly condemns this incident. At the same time, our message is that we will protect our employees and patients with all legally available means, and we call on the state authorities to severealy sanction such violators in accordance with the law," they add.
