Actor and director Branislav Lecic reacts after Danijela Stajnfeld accuses him of rape

Branislav Lecic has reacted after the news that actress Danijela Stajnfeld had accused him of rape.

He stated that until he gets it in writing that the actress accused him of such a thing, he can't say anything.

"I can't make any comment without proof that she really said that, until I receive a summons from the Prosecutor's Office, in black and white," Lecic told Telegraf in a brief statement.

Actress Daniela Stajnfeld appeared at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade a few days ago, at the invitation of the prosecutor to supplement her previous statement.

In the presence of her lawyer, she said that she was allegedly raped by actor Branislav Lecic, saying that it happened a few years ago, while she was working with him on a project.

After taking her statement, the prosecution should make a decision on how to proceed, while Lecic should be invited to make his own statement regarding the complaint filed by the actress.

Stajnfeld made the claim that she had been raped in a film she was working on. Then she said that it was done to her by a "powerful man from the film industry."

Danijela Stajnfeld revealed the identity of the alleged assailant to the police, in the presence of the deputy public prosecutor, it has been confirmed for the Telegraf.rs portal from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

"In her statement she revealed the identity of the possible perpetrator B.L. Further checks are in progress and work is being done to collect evidence," Telegraf.rs was told at the Higher Public Prosecution.
