These measures are in force since this morning: Many places remain closed, increased monitoring
On the suggestion of the Crisis HQ for the Protection of the Health of the Population from the Covid-19 Infectious Disease, the Government of Serbia has decided that hospitality establishments - cafes, restaurants, night clubs and bars, as well as shopping malls - will remain closed, starting this morning at 6 am.
All stores food, and cultural institutions - cinemas, theaters, galleries and libraries, can stay open until 9 pm, all other facilities until 8 pm, subject to certain conditions.
As announced by the Government of Serbia, all facilities that are open must ensure compliance by providing a space of at least nine square meters per person or visitor, with the exception of fitness clubs, spas, gyms and the like where 16 square meters per person must be provided.
The Government of Serbia points out that starting this morning, the inspection supervision of compliance with this measure will be intensified - compliance with the allowed space per person inside a facility, as well as Covid stewards inside it.
Hospitality establishments are allowed to conduct window sales of food and beverages 24 hours a day. Restaurants and cafes in hotels can only serve registered hotel guests and close by 9 pm.
The statement stresses that the Government once again calls on citizens to respect all epidemiological measures and appeals on their sense of personal responsibility.
"All measures are introduced in order to protect the health of the population and reduce social contacts to a minimum, but until the final victory over the pandemic, contribution of all individuals in society is needed," said the statement.
It added that vaccination against the infectious disease Covid-19 will be taking place without interruption in the coming days as well, according to a pre-determined plan.
