Growing number of children are infected with Covid in Vranje: There are already more than 100

Vranje remains a coronavirus hotspot. Almost all Covid hospitals are full, because they have 20 admissions per day.

Ljiljana Antic, the director of the Healthcare Center, says that patients with severe and moderate clinical picture get hospitalized.

She stressed that there is an increase of Covid cases among children in Vranje and that in the last ten days, this disease was confirmed in 112 of them.

"These are school children, between 10 and 18 years old. All of them exhibit a milder clinical picture, only one child has bronchopneumonia," Dr. Antic told RTS.

So far, more than 9,000 citizens have been vaccinated in Vranje, and about 6,000 have received the second dose.
