After the session of the Council for National Security, Stefanovic said that one of the topics was the fight against organized crime, combating criminal groups and arrests that took place in previous weeks.

"That's not the end. We have analyzed links between organized crime with certain representatives of state bodies, which the state will clearly sanction," Stefanovic said.

He pointed out that police operations will continue, directed not only against the criminal group whose members have been arrested, but also against others operating in Serbia.

"The state will decisively and strongly show that it knows how to resist any form of organized crime and to sanction those from the ranks of the state who cooperated with organized crime, helped or in any way provided information that helped them commit crimes," said Stefanovic.

"In the coming period, too, the competent state authorities are under obligation to carefully monitor the events in Serbia in order to ensure security and safety. I am convinced that all bodies, all security agencies, ministries, the Army, will continue to protect the interests of Serbia and all citizens," said Stefanovic.
