Haradinaj won't give up on the idea of ​​unification with Albania, relaunches referendum story

AAK party leader Ramush Haradinaj says that the idea of unification of Kosovo and Albania is serious, adding that there are real possibilities for a referendum to take place, Zeri reports.

"If the obstacles to Kosovo's membership in NATO are not removed, if the EU five don't recognize us, Serbia as well, then we will start a referendum on unification with Albania. That is serious," said Haradinaj.

He told a RTK talk show that a serious government should give an explanation about what will happen in these four years.

"If that government cannot say that we are joining NATO or we are at the door of NATO, then a referendum is the only solution. There are realistic possibilities for that to happen. A union of Kosovo and Albania without changing borders," said Haradinaj, adding that the referendum should be organized by 2024.
