12-year-old girl dies in Novi Pazar hospital: she had been infected with coronavirus
H.D. (12) from Tutin has died in the General Hospital Novi Pazar, it has been confirmed for Telegraf.rs from that healthare institution.
A four-member commission consisting of Dr. Lajla Sebecevac, anesthesiology and resuscitation specialist, Dr. Hada Tokovic, pediatrics specialist, Dr. Ruza Milanovic, pediatrics and cardiology specialist, and Dr. Fehim Jukovic, forensic medicine specialist, announced that the child was admitted to the hospital on January 21.
As they specified, she was admitted to the Pediatrics Ward at 5:16 pm, to where she was transported by ambulance from the local Healthcare Center in Tutin in a serious general condition, accompanied by medical staff.
After the admission, they further stated, she underwent available diagnostic procedures and therapy was prescribed, but despite the actions taken, further deterioration of her condition, and death occurred.
"Based on the complete clinical picture and the course of the disease in the child, then the results of all tests, taking into account data on previously diagnosed diseases, it is most likely that in this case the fatal outcome was caused by immune complications amid a previous SARS-COV-2 virus infection - the so-called multisystem inflammatory post-Covid syndrome (MIC-s)," the doctors said replying to queries by Telegraf.rs, adding that death occurred on the same day , at 8:10 pm.
As we have learned out, no one in the family was positive for coronavirus at the time the child was brought to the hospital. The girl did not have a pulse and was in a serious condition.
