Most expensive house in Belgrade sold in Savski Venac, pricey complex in Sopot: 86% cash deals
In the last quarter of 2020, the real estate market in Serbia was worth 1.329 billion euros, there were 14,900 sales contracts, and the most expensive was a house in Belgrade worth 1.85 million euros, while a complex in Sopot was sold for 3 million euros, it is stated in the quarterly report of the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGZ).
The RGZ states that apartments were sold the most in this period, which accounted for 29 percent of overall turnover, while in the 3rd quarter this figure was 28 percent, followed by construction land at 19 percent, agricultural land at 16 percent, residential buildings at 14 percent and garages, accounting for 8 percent.
In the last three months of 2020, the real estate market in Serbia was worth 1.329 billion euros, which is an increase compared to the 3rd quarter when it was 1.2 billion euros, they said, adding that this period also saw the largest turnover since the RGZ is keeping records.
The turnover of apartments was at 54 percent, residential buildings at 10, while construction land stopped at 8 percent.
The top 13 most expensive new construction apartments sold in the 4th quarter were in Belgrade Waterfront, while old construction apartments were the most expensive in Belgrade's Gospodar Jovanova Street, in the city municipality of Stari Grad, where the price of commercial real estate and garages is also the highest.
The most expensive house in Belgrade was sold for 1.85 million euros in the municipality of Savski Venac, while a complex in (suburban municipality) Sopot with two weekend homes, auxiliary facilities, several plots of land, and a swimming pool was sold for 3 million euros.
In 2020, there was an increase in the turnover of weekend homes in relation to 2019, but in the 4th quarter there was a decrease in this type of sales.
