Serbians and foreigners who entered the country before PCR test was scrapped remain in isolation

Citizens of Serbia and foreigners who entered Serbia without a PCR test, and were ordered to stay in mandatory home isolation for 10 days, must continue to quarantine even after the abolition of the mandatory test requirement for entry from five countries - North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Bulgaria - which since yesterday is not a condition for crossing our border.

Thousands of citizens who crossed our border by the day before yesterday are in isolation after entering Serbia, and the police are checking whether they are really at the addresses they reported and whether they respect the measure. That was the case this morning as well: police officers assigned to the teams for control of the isolation measure, according to the list of those to whom this measure applies - and which is in the e-inspector database and is updated every four hours - are checking compliance with mandatory home quarantine, Novosti writes.

Those who are not found at their address of residence will have a misdemeanor complaint filed against them and will have to pay a fine of up to 150,000 dinars (about 1,200 euros).

Assistant Minister of Health for Sanitary Supervision Goran Stamenkovic confirmed that this applies to all those who entered Serbia before the obligatory PCR test not older than 48 hours was abolished for the citizens of the five neighboring countries, and our citizens returning from abroad.

"A negative PCR test or mandatory 10-day isolation remains a mandatory measure for all those who entered the country on the day of the validity of the decree on special epidemiological conditions for entering Serbia," says Stamenkovic.
