Vucic talks about Washington agreement: Someone has to ask Serbia about the part Serbia signed

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that if something is changed in the Washington agreement, the part that Serbia signed must be discussed with Serbia.

Asked to comment on the meeting between EU's Special Representative for the Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak, and the head of the US State Department Bureau for Europe and Eurasia Philip Reeker, during which changes to the Washington agreement were announced, he said that nothing is over just because Americans and Europeans, or Germans, have met.

"It's interesting to me that all those who criticized the Washington agreement, saying that it doesn't benefit Serbia, are now mostly silent, because representatives of Kosovo Albanians and some in Europe are against that document," he stressed.

Vucic said that someone must ask Serbia about the part that Serbia signed.

"It is nice that they met, but someone has to talk with Serbia about the part that Serbia signed and accepted. We are ready to talk with everyone," he pointed out.

"It's important to do something for your country"

President Aleksandar Vucic today told his political opponents that it's not a terrible thing to lose an election, but that it is important to do something for one's country.

Asked about a survey which claims that more people are against him than for the opposition, Vucic said that yesterday was a strange day, and that he was able to see and hear all kinds of things.

"I saw an amateurishly prepared survey. I saw that someone said that Kosovo will be recognized, and that Vucic will not do that in any form. I will probably do it via transcendental meditation," Vucic said ironically.

He also pointed out that all sorts of things happened yesterday that he did not understand, "as if it was a full moon."

"As far as the survey is concerned, I'm sure that we have a little time left. We will prepare to lose honorably. We will concede, we will not be destroying the Assembly, we will not forbid anyone from going to work. It's not a terrible thing to lose an election, it is important to do something for your country," concluded Vucic.
