Sparrowhawk fell into Sreten's yard in Vladicin Han: I grew fond of it, but can't help it

A young bird of prey, apparently a sparrowhawk, fell down with an injured wing into the yard of Sreten Nikolic, located near Vladicin Han. Nikolic took the bird, placed it in a shed, and then took it to the vet.

"I was really happy when I saw it, because it is an extremely beautiful bird, but I quickly realized that it was injured. I took it to the vet, however, he couldn't provide it with the help it needs. The wing needs surgery, further professional care. Veterinarians in Vladicin Han are not able to do that. That kind of help can only be provided in Nis," Nikolic adds.

He also says that the bird needs professional care and that despite his love for it, he will probably not be able to take care of it the right way.

"The bird, although a bird of prey, is very gentle and beautiful. I grew fond of it. I will be the happiest when it can fly again," says Sreten.
