Boy (12) was the second victim of horrific traffic accident in Nis: Audi mowed him down on sidewalk
The second victim of the horrific traffic accident, which happened last night on the Medijana Boulevard in Nis, is 12-year-old A.P.
The child, who was walking on the sidewalk, was mowed down by N.S., a Belgrader driving his Audi with Belgrade license plates, and the victim was thrown over the fence of the Nis water company grounds due to the force of the impact.
Another pedestrian, 48-year-old D.I. was seriously injured in the same accident and died after being admitted to the hospital in Nis.
At first, it was believed that a girl had been killed, but as we have learned, the confusion was caused by the 12-year-old victim having longer hair.
"The boy went to the mall to buy dog food. He was returning home along the Medijana Boulevard when he was hit by a car. He died on the spot," our interlocutors familiar with this case have said.
"Last night, the child's mother who had sensed the worst had happened came to the scene of the accident. The woman was in tears as she asked passers-by if anyone had seen the boy. A post was soon shared on social networks saying that the 12-year-old was last seen at 8:20 pm, near the shopping center. The accident happened 20 minutes later, so the mother suspected that he was the second victim."
Her worst fears were confirmed around midnight when the child was identified.
According to eyewitness statements, the Audi was driving along the Medijana Boulevard from the direction of the shopping center when it swerved off the road and started mowing down pedestrians who were on the sidewalk.
The police confirmed the event and announced that all the circumstances are being determined.
According to unofficial information, the citizen of Belgrade, the driver, came to Nis to spend the holidays with his relatives. He was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.
