Children's show star host Branko Kockica with Vucic as first grader: Nobody's seen this video before
Aleksandar Vucic, at the time attending a New Belgrade elementary named after Branko Radicevic, participatd several times in the taping of a popular children's show, "Kockica," hosted by Branko Milicevic, whose stage name is also Kockica. Video footage has surfaced now that the public has not had a chance to see before.
In a 1976 episode entitled "Knjiga" (Serbian for "Book"), dedicated to knowledge and reading, Vucic, now Serbia's president, took part as a first grader, and that was one of his first TV appearances (he can be seen at 14:24 minutes of the show).
Branko Kockica told Belgrade media earlier that he "did not recognize Serbia's current president when he saw him years after the filming of Kockica."
"I barely recognized him. I was quite bigger than him back then, now he's quite bigger," Milicevic said at the time.
While attending elementary school, Vucic and his school mates participated in the taping of the show several more times, with one of the videos made during the Joy of Europe event, where then 13-year-old Vucic talks to journalists about what his peers from Austria, who were guests at the event, wanted to know the most.
He also spoke about Red Star football club, about his favorite team and an Austrian squad playing a friendly game, his team winning, but they remaining good friends regardless.
