Incident at Assembly: Man breaks through protective fence, shouts "ministers out," starts running

P.B. (41) broke through the protective fence in front of the main entrance to the House of the National Assembly with his car, after which he was arrested.

"Members of the Ministry of the Interior arrested P. B. (41), who broke through the protective fence in front of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with a Toyota Rav 4 car, at around 2:25 pm today.

After the incident, the suspect got out of the car and started running towards Pionirski Park, with a bar in his hand, shouting 'ministers out'. Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately caught up with the suspect and arrested him," the Ministry of the Interior said after the incident.

The suspect was detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before a prosecutor.

The police officers on duty, who are securing the Assembly, checked whether there were explosives in the vehicle, RTS reported earlier.
