President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today attended a ceremony to lay the cornerstone for the construction of an intermodal terminal in Batajnica.

After a cornerstone laying ceremony in Batajnica, the president of Serbia answered journalists' questions .

Asked about the falsification of his statement, i.e. the claim of the Kosovo Albanians that he called for war, he said that they have their own internal problems and now they have to make things up.

"I don't want to say anything about them, they act as if they are at war and as if they have to speak badly about us every day, that shows how bad their position is," he said.

"I said that we must avoid a frozen conflict, and that having a frozen conflict can lead to a catastrophe in the future," said Vucic and added that Serbia's policy is to preserve the peace and be the most successful in Europe in the next three or five years.

Asked how much the political crisis in Pristina will affect the dialogue with Belgrade, the president of Serbia said that it is clear that the depth of the crisis is huge and that they "don't know what to do with themselves."

"They make threats a little, then they don't, you answer to that calmly and in a conciliatory tone. Do you think I should attack someone today and utter harsh words. We have to talk to them, to live with them and next to them, and they have to understand that there are people here who want peace, but do not allow attacks on Serbia," he said.
