Establishment owners in Novi Pazar block traffic over coronavirus restrictions, 9pm closing time
Owners of hospitality establishments and their workers gathered after opening hours (9 pm) in front of the City Administration , to express their dissatisfaction with the decision of the Emergency Situations HQ to limit their work indoors in Novi Pazar to 9 pm.
Those gathered at a roundabout briefly blocked traffic, while the rally passed peacefully in the presence of the police. The only request of those who gathered, as could be heard, was about revoking the decision to limit opening hours - otherwise the protests will continue until the demand has been met, reports rtvnp.rs.
As Radio-Television Novi Pazar has learned, representatives of the industry will be received tomorrow at the City Administration by Mayor Nihat Bisevac, in order to find a solution for the new situation.
As previously announced, Mayor Bisevac spoke with the services of the City Administration on several occasions about finding ways to help the Novi Pazar hospitality industry, which, similar to what is happening across the world, has been severely hit by the crisis caused by coronavirus.
One of the measures in force, which concerns assistance to establishments in Novi Pazar, refers to letting them use outdoor terrace spaces without paying rent during the coronavirus pandemic, which should make them significant savings.
Before Novi Pazar, where an emergency situation is in force, the decision on limiting opening hours of hospitality establishments was introduced by Kraljevo, Prokuplje, and Valjevo.
