"Hospitals filling up, they have 2,000 people. Belgrade becoming hotspot, situation getting worse"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that today we have 7 deaths from coronavirus and a lower number of new cases because people get tested less on Sundays, but he pointed out that the hospitals are filling up and that there are 2,000 patients in them. He remarked that the situation in Belgrade is the most serious, and that the city is an increasingly pronounced hotspot.

"The coronavirus is causing us more and more problems, the hospitals are filling up. Nearly 2,000 people are hospitalized. We are in an increasingly difficult situation. My plea is that we try to respect the measures, we are in an increasingly difficult situation. He said that all companies working on the construction of the Covid hospital in Batajnica will work in three shifts so that the facility can be opened.

"By December 1, we should complete the hospital in Batajnica, which should have 930 beds. We have also opened a laboratory for PCR testing in Kosovska Mitrovica," said the president.

Speaking about the country's economy, he said that we have good results, but asked members of the Crisis HQ for the fight against coronavirus not to shut down hospitality establishments completely.

"I am asking all people from the Crisis HQ only if it is possible not to close everything in the hospitality industry, because we need every dinar for those people, of course if it's not possible, it will not be a problem to close it," said Vucic.

In Serbia, coronavirus was confirmed in 802 people in the last 24 hours. 7 more died, while 57 patients are on ventilators.
