Dr. Kon: Act as if there was curfew and as if there's ban on movement from 7 pm to 5 am
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon, a member of the Crisis HQ for the fight against coronavirus, sent, as he said, a special appeal to Belgraders via Facebook.
"During this and the next week, we will be at the maximum (peak) of the third wave. During this period, avoid all crowds and gatherings. Act as if there is a ban on movement from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am. If you still have to leave the house... ALWAYS WEAR A PROTECTIVE MASK, especially indoors. ALL THE BEST!," wrote Dr. Kon.
Serbia is in the third wave of coronavirus, and the number of infected people has been constantly growing on a daily basis for more than a week.
The number of deaths has also begun to grow, while the number of hospitalized, but also patients on ventilators, is slowly increasing.
According to the latest report from Sunday afternoon, the virus was confirmed in 1,449 more people in Serbia over the previous 24 hours, while six more patients died as a result of this disease.
There were 1,196 patients in hospitals, 52 of whom on ventilators.
So far in Serbia, coronavirus has been confirmed in 48,403 out of a total of 1,345,170 people who got tested.
Coronavirus arrived in Serbia on March 6 when we had the first confirmed case of the infection, and as soon as on March 20, Covid took its first life in our country.
