As the third wave is gaining momentum, Loncar talks about when to expect the end of the epidemic
Minister of Health of Serbia Zlatibor Loncar today once again called on citizens to respect all prescribed protective measures against coronavirus, stressing that discipline has been shown to yield good results. He also said that the epidemic could end in the spring or early summer.
"If we have been able to have a good result so far, let's continue to be disciplined and united, so that we don't have a situation again, like many countries do, with mandatory wearing of masks in the open, shutting down of restaurants, curfews...," he told TV Prva.
Loncar stated that, according to some estimates, the coronavirus epidemic could end in the spring or early summer of next year, and reiterated the importance of respecting the measures.
"Let's get to the end with as little damage as possible. It will mean nothing to us even when all this passes, if we have a large number of patients, on whom this disease certainly leaves consequences, and those who have lost their loved ones," said the Serbian minister of health.
